CELEBRATING 8 YEARS! From the heart of the Pastor. 

“My, how time flies!” is a statement we all use when we take a moment out of our busyness to see what time it is. And it only seems like a couple of years since I was asked to serve as Pastor of this very fine church. But it has actually been eight years as of May 11, 2009!  
 

As I reflect over the years I must first of all "thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry" (1 Timothy 1:12). I owe everything to His calling, His grace, His Lordship over me, His sustaining power, His guidance and most of all, His unfailing love! I’m forever humbled and grateful that He chose me to represent Him here at New Morning Star! 

I want to thank my wife Vanessa , whose daily support and prayers for me as her husband, pastor and friend makes me look better than I actually am. Without her, my ministry would lack the beauty, excellence, compassion and personal touch she models for me daily. (Happy Mother’s Day BABY!) In addition to her, my daughters Lynnessa and Latrice keeps me energized, focused, fun-loving and have proven to be my greatest admirers. 

I’m also grateful to the Lord for all the associate ministers that have served with me over the years. They have enhanced our leadership and I will never forget their contributions. And I’m looking forward to the Lord adding more to our current leadership staff! Thanks brothers for your partnership!  

I also want to thank the Business Operations Team and Chairman Deacon Vertis Moore for their diligent financial management. Things are steady on the upswing because of your collective integrity and attention to details!
  

To the Deacons & Deaconesses, Office Staff, Ministry Directors & Assistants, and those who are using their gifts to serve “Christ, the Church and the Community” you have made our church fellowship a wonderful place to fellowship, grow, give, serve and reach out! I love you all from the bottom of my heart! Thanks for everything!
