Chicago Illinois, serves as Senior Pastor of the New Morning Star M.B. Church on the Westside of Chicago. His encouraging and practical expository preaching and teaching is a blessing to God’s people. He also inspires others to grow in their relationship with God through seminars, conferences and small group bible studies.
He is a graduate of Westinghouse High School, attended the
University of
Illinois (Chicago Circle) and later pursued education at Crossroads Bible College of Indianapolis, IN. He has served in several churches throughout the years as musician, choir director, assistant pastor, church planter and Senior Pastor of Triumph Communuty Church of Indianapolis. He has served as Director of Urban Ministries of Central Indiana Youth for Christ and Executive Director of Urban Outreach, Indianapolis, IN.
Pastor Davis has over twenty-eight years of ministry experience and training. He provides spiritual leadership, the primary expository preaching of the Word of God, ministry development, counseling and leadership training. Pastor Davis provides us with a leadership style that seeks to bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ and equipping the church to become the best it could be..
Born and raised on the Westside of Chicago, IL Pastor Davis has been married to his wife Vanessa for 23 years, is a father of five children; (3 sons not pictured) DeVawn, DeWayne Jr., Chaz, and two daughters: Lynnessa, Latrice). He loves spending time with his wife and family, computers, electronics/gadgets, physical fitness, video games, singing, song writing, music, fishing, movies, comedy, reading, nature, poetry and writing.
